Sales Manager – Cochlear Implants | Karnataka
Location: Bangalore
Territory: Karnataka
Role Type: Field-based | Individual Contributor
The Impact You Will Help Create
At Cochlear, sales is not only about driving growth. It is about expanding access to technology that can help people hear, communicate, and participate more fully in life.
For many families, the work we do becomes real in moments that are deeply personal — when a child responds to sound, when parents hear new words, or when a recipient reconnects with the world around them.
This role gives you the opportunity to build a market, partner with healthcare professionals, develop new cochlear implant centres, and contribute to outcomes that can change the lives of recipients and their families.
About the Role
This is a high-impact individual contributor role based in Bangalore, responsible for driving cochlear implant systems growth across Karnataka.
You will work closely with ENT surgeons, audiologists, hospitals, implant centres, and internal Cochlear teams to identify new opportunities, build strong clinical and institutional relationships, and expand access to cochlear implant technology.
This role is best suited for someone who enjoys field sales, hospital engagement, surgeon-led selling, new account development, and building markets with ownership and discipline.
It is not a people management role. It offers significant territory ownership, senior stakeholder exposure, and the opportunity to contribute to a highly meaningful area of medical technology.
What You Will Own:
Build and grow the Karnataka market
You will be responsible for driving cochlear implant systems sales growth across Karnataka by identifying opportunities, developing accounts, progressing leads, and closing business with strong sales discipline.
Partner with surgeons, audiologists, and hospitals
You will engage with ENT surgeons, audiologists, OR teams, hospital administrators, and other key stakeholders to position Cochlear’s solutions, communicate clinical and technology value, and build long-term partnerships.
Develop new cochlear implant centres
A key part of this role will be to identify and activate new hospitals, clinics, and surgeons who can support cochlear implant programs. You will work with internal teams to support centre onboarding, education, account setup, and early business momentum.
Expand access to cochlear implant technology
You will help strengthen referral pathways, support candidate identification through clinician partnerships, and contribute to sustainable systems growth across the territory.
Manage your sales pipeline with discipline
You will maintain accurate opportunity, account, and activity information in Salesforce, manage the sales pipeline, support forecasting, and use CRM insights to prioritize high-impact accounts and actions.
Work cross-functionally to enable success
You will collaborate with Clinical, Services, Marketing, Operations, and Sales colleagues to ensure smooth execution of account initiatives, education activities, and territory plans.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a driven healthcare sales professional who has experience selling into hospitals and working with clinicians or institutional stakeholders.
You should bring:
- 6–10+ years of experience in healthcare sales, medical devices, diagnostics, surgical products, capital equipment, hearing care, or a related healthcare segment
- Strong experience in hospital-based selling and stakeholder management
- Ability to build and nurture relationships with clinicians, hospital teams, and institutional customers
- Strong sales discipline, commercial acumen, and ability to manage opportunities from identification to closure
- Confidence in product discussions, presentations, account reviews, and territory planning
- Ability to work independently in a field-based role with high ownership
- Comfort with CRM discipline, sales forecasting, and structured pipeline management
- Willingness to travel across Karnataka, as required by the role
Preferred Experience
Experience in one or more of the following areas would be especially relevant:
- Medical devices
- ENT, audiology, hearing care, neuro, surgical, or implantable devices
- Hospital or surgeon-led sales
- New account or new centre development
- Working in a multinational healthcare organization
