Sales Manager, Cable Systems & Energy
Our client is a leading organisation in the submarine cable and offshore energy industry, seeking a driven and experienced Sales Manager with expertise in cable systems, renewable energy, and telecommunications infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the cable market, encompassing renewable energy, telecommunications, and offshore project segments.
- Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including end customers, contractors, and technical consultants.
- Formulate and execute targeted sales strategies designed to meet revenue and profitability objectives.
- Track industry trends, competitor movements, and market dynamics to surface emerging opportunities and mitigate potential threats.
- Structure and present compelling proposals, negotiate commercial terms, and secure agreements with clients.
- Partner with internal technical teams to align product specifications with client requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Coordinate closely with engineering, operations, and supply chain functions to support seamless and timely project execution.
- Generate accurate sales forecasts and produce regular performance reports for senior leadership review.
- Uphold compliance across all sales activities in accordance with company policies and applicable regulatory frameworks.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client concerns, resolving issues promptly to sustain high levels of satisfaction and long-term retention.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline
- At least 5 years of sales or business development experience within the submarine cable, renewable energy, or telecommunications sector.
- Solid technical grounding in cable systems and their associated applications across marine and offshore environments.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally in line with business requirements.
