Sales Manager

The Sales Manager is responsible for achieving growth in sales through new business development and ensuring service excellence to clients. This position provides and structures solutions and helps clients to improve the quality and safety of their business performance through the application of internationally recognized standards.

This position reports to the Area Manager, DNV Business Assurance Korea and will be part of the Business Assurance global sales network in DNV.

  • Develop strategic sales plans, implement and execute sales activities to ensure DNV meets its business ambitions in Korea;
  • Drive sales of management system certification and training business in Korea;
  • Demonstrate consistent sales target achievements of own and of the team;
  • Proactively monitor and report forecasts of sales contract values and scheduled delivery to line manager;
  • Seek opportunities to develop new business and share relevant market knowledge with other stakeholders to ensure the opportunities are pursued;
  • Develop business relationships with customers and new clients including a local network of partners (consultants, channels);
  • Ensure timely tagging of sales leads and opportunities in the system, accuracy of sales quotes per DNV rules, guidelines and practices;
  • Initiate, lead and actively take part in local marketing activities (events, tradeshows, conferences, exhibitions, etc);
  • Support the digital transformation and initiatives;
  • Sustain existing customers’ loyalty, engage with existing clients to retain customer contracts as desired;
  • Participate and contribute in the global sales network meetings and initiatives and ensure the sharing and implementation in Korea;
  • Responsible for leading, coaching, mentoring and competence development of the sales team in Korea.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent;
  • More than 5 years of relevant managerial experience;
  • Strongly business oriented, efficient, autonomous and accountable, with an entrepreneurial and market developer mindset;
  • Strong communication, presentation, verbal and written skills in English and Korean;
  • Strong interpersonal relationship capability, ability to work both remotely and with a team;
  • Ability to approach and convince the decision makers by listening to their expectations, understanding their stakes and goals, offering adapted / innovative / value-added solutions;
  • Relevant experience in selling B to B services, combined with an experience in Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) Risk management will provide a real additional advantage to the candidate;
  • Strategic thinking and understanding of competitive landscape in Korea;
  • Experience in managing key accounts / customers and winning new clients;
  • Attention to details.
