Sales Manager (Solar Modules EU Utilities)

  • Develop and expand Trina Solar’s utility-scale modules business in Romania
  • Identify, develop and secure new opportunities with EPCs, developers, IPPs, investors and utilities
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of utility PV projects
  • Establish and manage multi-level relationships with key accounts
  • Position Trina Solar as a preferred supplier across strategic customers
  • Engage early with stakeholders (developers, designers, investors) to influence technical and commercial decisions
  • Define and execute the local utility sales strategy aligned with regional objectives
  • Lead commercial negotiations and contract execution in line with company guidelines
  • Ensure alignment between customer requirements and Trina Solar’s commercial and operational capabilities
  • Manage the full sales cycle from opportunity development through to:
  • Forecasting, contract negotiation, delivery coordination, payment collection
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams (Sales Operations, Logistics, Finance, Project Management)
  • Monitor market trends, pricing dynamics, competitor activity and project pipeline
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and reporting via CRM (Salesforce)
  • Provide structured insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Represent Trina Solar at industry events, customer meetings and conferences
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, technical and marketing teams
  • Support contract execution including: logistics coordination, documentation (LCs, invoices, BoL), pre- and post-sales issue resolution
  • Maintain close communication with customers on orders, deliveries and project status
  • *Scope and focus countries may evolve in line with market developments and business priorities.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in B2B sales within solar PV / renewable energy (utility segment preferred)
  • Proven track record in utility-scale project sales and closing large-volume deals
  • Strong network with EPCs, developers, IPPs and investors in Romania
  • Solid understanding of utility PV market dynamics, tender processes and project lifecycle
  • Strong negotiation, communication and relationship management skills
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Structured, proactive and results-driven mindset
  • Willingness to travel regularly within Romania and Europe.
  • Languages: Fluent Romanian and English (written and spoken) required. Ukrainian or any additional European language would be a plus.
