Sales Manager - Strategic Accounts

Overview

The sales manager leads a team of sales consultants and is responsible for driving the sales execution of delivering revenue and unit targets assigned in strategic account programs/vertical markets. They play a role in the hiring, training, developing, and coaching their individual team members while promoting a positive culture that mirrors the Paychex values.


Responsibilities

  • Leads and motivate sales team. Trains and develops sales team members. Provide coaching, feedback, and guidance to improve individual and team performance. Creates a collaborative, high performing sales culture.
  • Sales Performance Management. Set performance goals and expectations for team. Monitor and analyze individual and team sales performance metrics. Regularly review sales pipelines, forecasts, and conversion rates. Conduct regular performance reviews with strategic account sales consultants. Take corrective actions to address performance gaps and ensure targets are met.
  • Recruits, selects, hires new sales consultants.
  • Strategic Collaboration. Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being aware of new products and competition status. Collaborate with cross functional teams to align sales strategies with overall business objectives. Ensures sales teams adheres to partnership agreements
  • Reporting and Forecasting. Presents sales, revenue, expense reports and realistic forecasts to senior leadership team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing - Preferred
  • 3 years of experience in sales leadership.
  • 1 year of experience in virtual sales environment.
  • Outside Sales - Preferred
  • Selling Techniques - Preferred
  • Business Development - Preferred
  • Sales Prospecting - Preferred
