Sales Manager
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to expand the company's ship management business.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with ship owners, ship managers and maritime stakeholders lobally.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to secure long-term ship management contracts.
- Prepare and present commercial proposals, service agreements, and management fee structures tailored to client requirements.
- Lead contract negotiations and manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to contract award and onboarding.
- Collaborate closely with technical, marine, crewing, HSSEQ, and finance teams to ensure service offerings meet client expectations.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, fleet movements, vessel acquisitions, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
- Represent the company at maritime exhibitions, conferences, networking events, and industry associations to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, CRM records, pipeline reports, and business development activities to achieve revenue targets.
- Achieve annual sales, profitability, and fleet growth targets while contributing to the company's overall strategic objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering, Nautical Studies, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5–7 years of commercial, business development, chartering, technical, marine or ship management experience within the maritime industry.
- Strong network and relationships with ship owners, operators, ship managers, and maritime decision-makers in Asia and internationally.
- Proven track record in securing ship management contracts, maritime services agreements, or related commercial business with measurable revenue achievements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work independently and travel internationally when required.
