Sales Planner

In this role, you'll be responsible for the pre-sales process, strategic building and stewarding of the linear sales proposals that maximize both advertiser needs and Scripps networks revenue. WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Build linear media proposals aligned with pricing guidance, planning strategies, and inventory availability.
Partner with internal pricing teams and buying agencies to support negotiations for upfront and scatter buys.
Identify opportunities to maximize revenue across linear platforms by adapting plans to market and inventory conditions.
Monitor campaign performance, ensuring delivery meets deal guarantees, and resolve over-delivery proactively.
Coordinate execution of on-air linear marketing campaigns from initial pitch through final activation.
Support P&I and Networks Revenue Sales management on ad hoc analyses and projects.
Work closely with the Commercial Operations team to meet log deadlines and ensure accurate, timely delivery of all on air elements.
Partner with Sales teams and clients to address billing discrepancies and maintain financial accuracy.
Cultivate strong relationships with agencies, present media plans/programming opportunities, and maintain ongoing communication.
Mentor and train Sales Assistants, supporting skill development and team growth.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent
1+ years related experience in media sales or buying
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Strong understanding of ad sales terminology and media math
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem solving & analytical skills
Flexibility and adaptability in a constantly evolving media landscape
Possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to multi-task and handle projects independently, as well as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Wide Orbit Network experience a plus

COMPENSATION RANGE:
Annual Salary: $70,000.00 - 74000
