Summary of the Role
The Sales Specialist is responsible for driving sales growth by developing and managing customer accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and executing approved sales and marketing strategies within the assigned territory or list of accounts. The role involves close engagement with key stakeholders, providing product and clinical support, and strengthening long‑term partnerships to achieve revenue and market share objectives in line with company values and ethical guidelines.
Key Functions / Responsibilities
To achieve annual territory sales plan.
To implement territory sales plans using company-approved strategic marketing and sales plans.
To submit sales reports, forward planner and other reports on-time and to required quality level.
To provide and report market intelligence and competitive information.
To represent Terumo in the best possible light to decision makers and end users.
To continually develop personal selling skills and product knowledge.
To sustain rapports with key accounts by making periodic visits: exploring specific needs: anticipating new opportunities.
To collaborate with distributors; forecasting the stock demand and verify orders from distributors.
Achieve annual territory sales and gross profit plans
Establish and maintain regular personal contact with all relevant decision makers and key influencers (end users) on assigned territory
Develop and continually update professional selling skills and product knowledge through company programs and own initiatives
Attend trade exhibits at appropriate conferences as required
Promote specific products in the prescribed manner to identified target audience in conjunction with strategic marketing plans and territory business plans
Accurate and on time submission of required reports
Seek assistance (where and when appropriate) from Director, Sales & Marketing Manager and other TSP associates in order to achieve objectives
Other duties as directed by TSP
Education & Experience
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or science-related field
At least 2 – 3 years of medical sales-related experience from medical device industry
