  • Monday - Friday, Daytime hours.

The primary objective of this position is to provide an excellent and comprehensive support to the outside sales force. This position will act as the liaison for the sales representatives and other internal departments, such as accounts receivable, customer service, operations and branch associates. The core responsibilities you will contribute to include submitting quotes, tracking orders and deliveries, entering and updating contracted pricing, and providing timely research/resolution to customer issues and requests for information.

  • Foster an excellent level of customer service by assisting sales force via telephone, email, fax, or in person.
  • Guide and support incoming telephone and email orders/inquires in a professional manner.
  • Daily communication with sale force personnel regarding quotes, order status, deliveries, back orders and issues pending.
  • Complete customer follow up on quotes, inquiries, order status (expedite orders), deliveries and issues resolved.
  • Has daily communication with the sales force regarding quotes, order status, deliveries, back orders and/or any pending order issues.
  • May be requested to participate in special projects relating to pricing, inventory, or sales to align the needs of the customer with the direction and policy of Airgas.
  • Participates in product knowledge and vendor trainings to present new products to customers to increase their awareness of our market segments.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A proven track record in cultivating customer relationships and managing high-volume communication.
  • Strong skills in crafting correspondence and routine reports.
  • A natural passion for supporting and connecting with customers.
  • Must be able to contribute meaningfully in a deadline-oriented environment and show a strong aptitude in organizing and prioritizing multiple work assignments. Strong skills in fostering alignment and building relationships across diverse groups at all organizational levels.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Brings 3 years of collaborative administrative experience supporting a sales staff
  • Knowledge of welding, industrial gases, and safety equipment applications is a welcomed asset.
  • G-Suite (Google Applications) experience is helpful
  • SAP knowledge is a welcomed asset
  • Exceptional skills in crafting clear communication and fostering understanding; well organized; collaborative problem-solving; strong service orientation; strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence, thrive both in self-directed tasks and as a collaborative partner within a team.
