Sales Support Specialist - Packaging Consumables

Job Summary

We are looking for a Sales Support Specialist with a strong business drive and communication skills to successfully grow the Packaging Consumables business.

In this role, you will be part of a global and highly collaborative Product Management team within Packaging Consumables, working with colleagues around the world. You will collaborate closely with team members and stakeholders across markets, gaining exposure to diverse business environments and ways of working.

As a subject matter expert in Packaging Consumables, you will support a portfolio including high-quality adhesives, lubricants, sustainable films, date coding inks, and other specialized products designed to optimize customer performance and meet the stringent demands of the food industry.

You will act as a key link between Product Management and frontline Services Sales teams, playing an important role in translating strategy into action and delivering customer value. Working closely with Product Managers, Product Specialists, local sales teams, other Services organizations, and key suppliers, you will contribute to business development and support sales teams in creating value for our customers.

You will primarily support two markets in Americas, where you will have a direct and visible impact on business performance.


The position is based in Mexico.


Some travel is expected, up to approximately 15% depending on business needs.

What you will do

As Sales Support Specialist you will:

  • Drive sales support activities and respond to market needs in line with the Services Portfolio Plan, in close collaboration with Market Operations and Services teams, to grow and protect the Packaging Consumables business
  • Identify, propose, and actively drive opportunities for business growth and continuous improvement
  • Provide technical and commercial expertise within the Packaging Consumables category, supporting Market Operations with value-based selling, pricing, and quotation activities
  • Monitor and analyze business performance, identifying gaps and recommending actions to achieve growth and profitability targets
  • Contribute to Solution Lifecycle Management, supporting product development, deployment, and phase-out activities, including customer segmentation, market readiness, communication materials, and pilot identification
  • Lead or contribute to internal trainings, seminars, and workshops to strengthen knowledge of Packaging Consumables products and processes across sales and delivery organizations
  • Support customer-facing activities such as workshops, trainings, meetings, and tailored sales material together with Market Services Sales teams
  • Drive selected strategic initiatives from the Packaging Consumables 3-Year Plan and operational plan
  • Build and nurture local relationships with key suppliers of Packaging Consumables
  • Ensure alignment and effective communication with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, on both operational and business development level, to enable successful implementation and business growth
  • Support annual pricing processes, including margin analysis, simulations, and local price updates

We believe you have

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience, preferably within product/portfolio management, sales, customer management, or operations
  • Strongly desired to have experience in a global company
  • A strong business mindset combined with analytical and strategic thinking, with the ability to work with a holistic view as well on a detailed level
  • A self-driven and proactive approach, with strong ownership, a results focus, and the ability to identify opportunities and take initiative independently
  • Effective team player skills with excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with capability to build relationships across functions and levels
  • An open and curious mindset with ability to listen to stakeholders, showing a high level of customer orientation and a solution-oriented approach
  • Excellent English & Spanish language skills, both written and spoken
