Summary:

  • Responsible for assisting Commissary Sales Account Managers in including but not limited to representatives based in California, Texas, Florida, Kansas & as needed in Ohio; ensures that all outstanding activities are completed and processed while Commissary Sales Account Managers are out on vacation / sick/ leave. The Customer Service Sales Support will also assist the Sales staff in smaller operating cities. Primary responsibilities typically do not require exercising independent judgment; all activities will be reviewed and approved by a supervisor or manager.

Job Duties

  • Processes orders
  • Inbound calls to be answered on priority level and ensure communication with customer is timely and accurate.
  • Maintain all administrative duties
  • Tracking of specific items, including perishable food products
  • Data entry up to 350 line items with accuracy
  • Assist in publishing booklets for Account Managers or any projects that may need assistance
  • Must have knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision
  • Sends out catalogs and samples at the request of the sales staff
  • Answers the company phones and transfers calls to appropriate department
  • Must be familiar with product lines and be able to make product recommendations with 90 days of being hired.
