Sample Preparer
Join a supportive and safety-focused team in a hands-on laboratory role that’s essential to our operations. This position follows a roster of day and nights. We’re looking for someone who values accuracy, consistency, and teamwork in a dynamic environment. If that sounds like you, we’d love you to join our team based in Perth with this casual role.
Responsibilities include, however, not limited to:
- Sort and organise samples in numerical order, ensuring all are accurately matched with the correct paperwork and clearly noting any missing or additional items.
- Load and unload samples onto drying racks while maintaining sequence integrity.
- Mill or crush samples and transfer sub-samples into appropriate packets, following quality control procedures to avoid contamination.
- Carry out preparation and weighing tasks in the fibrous sample preparation area, following established safety and operational protocols.
- A current driver’s licence is advantageous.
- Previous laboratory or sample preparation experience is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively with general to minimal supervision.
- Able to follow both verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and time management to meet key performance indicators.
- Physically fit due to required tasks and responsibilities.
