3rd Shift Position with overtime as required

As a Sanitation Equipment Operator, you will clean, inspect, disassemble, and reassemble food processing equipment while operating Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems to ensure equipment is safe, compliant, and production-ready. This position is an integral part of our manufacturing operation and works closely with Production, Quality, and Maintenance to keep the plant and equipment very clean and audit-ready.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Perform the safe disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and reassembly of pumps, sanitary piping, processing equipment, and production line components.
  2. Operate and monitor Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems to ensure equipment meets food safety and sanitation standards.
  3. Safely handle and apply sanitation chemicals while following all chemical handling procedures and required PPE guidelines.
  4. Complete scheduled sanitation activities, including daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) tasks.
  5. Inspect equipment during the sanitation process and promptly communicate mechanical or operational concerns to the supervisor or Maintenance.
  6. Identify, report, and assist in resolving food safety, quality, or equipment issues observed during sanitation activities.
  7. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP, food safety requirements, and all Stratas Foods policies and procedures.
  8. Maintain production areas through cleaning of floors, drains, overhead structures, and other facility components to support a safe, sanitary, and audit-ready environment.
  9. Work collaboratively with Production, Quality, and Maintenance to ensure equipment is cleaned, inspected, and ready for production startup.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Related Experience: Previous experience in a food manufacturing, beverage, pharmaceutical, or industrial manufacturing environment preferred. Experience performing equipment sanitation, operating CIP systems, or working with production equipment is a plus.

Equipment/Software Skills: Basic computer skills required.

  7. Complies with all Stratas Foods policies, GMPs, HACCP, food safety, and regulatory requirements.

Physical: Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs, lift, bend, kneel, stand for long periods of time, work in confined spaces, and work with heights
