SAP Application Administrator - Senior Level

This is a senior technical leadership role responsible for the administration, optimization, and continuous improvement of enterprise SAP environments supporting mission-critical operations. You will oversee complex SAP application landscapes, ensuring stability, performance, and alignment with business and technical requirements. Acting as a key technical authority, you will lead large-scale initiatives, guide junior administrators, and resolve advanced system and process-related challenges. The role combines hands-on SAP administration with project leadership, business process analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. You will play a key role in ensuring SAP systems are efficiently configured, well-maintained, and continuously enhanced to support evolving organizational needs. This position is ideal for experienced SAP professionals who thrive in complex enterprise environments and enjoy both technical depth and leadership responsibility.
Accountabilities:
- Perform advanced SAP application administration, maintenance, configuration, and support across enterprise environments.
- Serve as the technical lead and primary point of contact for large-scale and complex SAP-related initiatives.
- Lead small to mid-sized projects, coordinating tasks, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and quality oversight to junior application administrators.
- Conduct business process analysis and contribute to the design, refinement, and optimization of SAP-enabled workflows.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical, functional, and process-related issues within SAP environments.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing SAP application performance, reliability, and business alignment.
- Minimum of 6 years of overall industry or functional IT experience, including 3–6 years of hands-on SAP administration experience.
- Strong expertise in SAP application support, configuration, maintenance, and optimization in enterprise environments.
- Proven ability to lead technical projects and coordinate cross-functional teams in complex system environments.
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior technical staff with a focus on quality and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical and business process issues.
- Solid understanding of business process analysis and enterprise system integration concepts.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive designation or Tier 3 (T3) clearance.
