Job Overview: The SAP Service Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the successful delivery of SAP Application Management Services to clients. This role involves maintaining service quality, ensuring SLA compliance, and driving continuous improvements to support client operations and business objectives. The SAP Service Manager will work closely with customers, internal teams, and stakeholders to ensure the seamless delivery of support and services for SAP environments.

Key Responsibilities

Application Management & Service Delivery

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers for all application management and support-related activities.

  • Conduct regular coordination and governance meetings with customers to review service performance, escalations, ticket trends, and improvement opportunities.

  • Ensure high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction across all support operations.

  • Monitor support project health and proactively identify operational risks and mitigation plans.

  • Manage customer escalations and ensure timely resolution of critical issues.

  • Ensure SLA compliance and monitor ticket resolution timelines across support streams.

  • Oversee ticket management activities and ensure effective distribution of tickets within the cbs Application Management team.

  • Coordinate with technical teams and functional consultants for issue resolution and service improvements.

  • Ensure smooth onboarding and transition of new support activities, applications, and service scopes.

  • Drive continuous service improvement initiatives and provide recommendations for process optimization.

  • Responsible for month-end reporting, utilization tracking, and operational service reporting.

Integration Architecture & Technical Leadership

  • Lead and manage enterprise integration landscapes across SAP and non-SAP systems using SAP Integration Suite as the strategic integration platform.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, application teams, vendors, and clients to understand integration requirements and provide expert guidance on integration best practices, architecture, and solution design.

  • Design, develop, enhance, and support end-to-end integration scenarios using SAP Integration Suite, SAP PI/PO, APIs, events, IDoc, EDI, and messaging technologies.

  • Provide technical leadership for integration initiatives across AMS, enhancement, and project delivery streams.

  • Translate business and functional interface requirements into scalable and maintainable technical integration specifications and solution architectures.

  • Support SAP S/4HANA public cloud, private cloud, and hybrid integration implementations.

  • Integrate SAP solutions with cloud platforms and external systems such as Salesforce, Microsoft Azure, AWS, banking systems, third-party applications, and business partners.

  • Lead integration delivery activities including effort estimation, technical design reviews, deployment planning, testing coordination, and production support readiness.

  • Define and govern integration standards, reusable frameworks, security guidelines, naming conventions, and development best practices.

  • Develop and maintain integration architecture documents, interface specifications, support procedures, operational runbooks, and technical documentation.

  • Evaluate emerging SAP integration technologies, SAP roadmap capabilities, and automation opportunities to improve delivery and support capabilities.

  • Coordinate and lead integration developers and support teams to ensure successful delivery and operational excellence.

  • Act as the primary technical escalation point for complex integration issues and critical production incidents.

  • Mentor and coach team members in technical, functional, and methodological topics related to SAP integration technologies and best practices.

  • Collaborate with enterprise architects, infrastructure teams, security teams, and external vendors to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and operational standards.

  • Support DevOps and CI/CD practices for integration development, testing, transport management, and deployment activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in SAP Application Management Services (AMS), Service Delivery Management, and SAP Integration technologies.

  • Strong experience managing enterprise application support engagements and integration initiatives.

  • Hands-on experience with SAP Integration Suite, SAP PI/PO, APIs, IDoc, EDI, and middleware technologies.

  • Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA integration architecture and hybrid landscapes.

  • Experience in SLA management, escalation management, operational governance, and customer communication.

  • Experience integrating SAP systems with cloud platforms and third-party applications.

  • Knowledge of integration governance, monitoring, security, and operational best practices.

  • Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD practices for integration delivery.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.

Nice to Have

  • ITIL certification or exposure to IT service management frameworks.

  • SAP Integration Suite certifications.

  • Experience with event-driven architectures and API management.

  • Experience working in multinational and global delivery environments.
