Role Overview

Surbana Jurong is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified professionals for the position of SCADA Specialist for a proposed assignment in Uzbekistan. The role will support the design, implementation, and operation of SCADA and automation systems for water infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support SCADA systems for water and irrigation infrastructure projects.
  • Oversee installation and operation of remote monitoring and control systems.
  • Develop and configure PLC programming and automation systems.
  • Ensure integration of communication protocols such as MODBUS and DNP3.
  • Support HMI/SCADA software configuration and system optimization.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams on automation and control system requirements.
  • Provide technical support for system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in SCADA system design, installation, and operation.
  • Strong expertise in Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and industrial automation systems.
  • Experience with PLC programming, MODBUS, DNP3, and HMI/SCADA software.
  • Experience on World Bank or similar MDB-funded projects is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with water management automation technologies.
  • Excellent English communication and reporting skills.
