Scheduler

Job Description:

  • Schedule Corrugator / Production machines effectively and efficiently as possible.
  • Ensure waste numbers are minimized by creating a smooth and seamless production schedule for each department in the plant, side trim accountability.
  • Coordinate daily and production scheduling and transportation needs – morning & afternoon.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of raw materials to meet press dates based on customer orders.
  • Generate monthly forecasts based on previous year performance and information from the Sales Team.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Production Department and CSR/Sales Department to communicate customer needs and current production abilities.
  • Manage in a goal-oriented environment to deliver target results in the areas of safety, reliability, cost, quality, productivity, and employee engagement.
  • Implement, maintain, and support all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, manuals, regulations, and codes.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages, proportions, area, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
  • Ability to solve practical problems as well as interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in a corrugated scheduling department and/or box plant operation.
  • Excellent computer and data entry experience and accuracy
  • Efficiency with MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook
