Salary : $ 16.30/ Hr- $ $20.00 Depending on years of Experience
PURPOSE:
The School Food Services/SEL (Social and Emotional Learning) Assistant and Job Coach is responsible for adhering to established dietary guidelines, policies, and procedures, in the preparation and delivery of meals to students at the Little City Center for Education under sanitary conditions, and to support the social and emotional learning of students in classroom settings supporting the mission of developing students’ independent skills while attending Little City Center for Education.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Food Services and SEL Support
1. Plates and prepares all menu items using established departmental policies and procedures and following all dietary restrictions.
2. Order items from the kitchen, maintaining dry storage, refrigerators, and freezers, and stocking and rotating all food and departmental kitchen supplies.
3. Prepare and serve foods which meet quality and safety criteria, take appropriate action to resolve concerns in the area.
4. Maintain the kitchen/food preparation areas in a clean sanitary condition meeting all state requirements.
5. Complete and maintain all paperwork and electronic data in relation to food service duties.
6. Builds positive connection with students in the classroom.
7. Assists students with toileting if needed.
8. Assists in the preparation of creating daily classroom materials as per direction from teacher and paraprofessionals
9. With use of agency providing training, including but not limited to CPI and Ukeru training, assists in keeping students safe during student behaviors as directed by teacher, paraprofessionals, and School Crisis Team.
10. Provides SEL support to assigned students to implement educational programs as determined by the teacher/resource team/administrator.
11. Provides personal and safety assistance to students.
12. Communicates and shares ideas and concerns with lead Teacher/Site Director, team/professional.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Job Coach
13. Develops individualized job plans correlating to each students’ Transition Plan within their IEP.
14. Prepares students for workplace expectations by teaching and reinforcing skills such as time management, communication, self-advocacy, and coping strategies, both in classroom settings and on-stie, to foster greater confidence and independence in employment environments.
15. Facilitates the discovery of both in-school and community-based instruction/employment opportunities, including developing job skill training, on-the-job support, and communication with prospective employers, transition teams, and appropriate school staff in the design of job placement that align with each student’s IEP goals.
16. Track student progress and provide consistent feedback identifying successes and accommodations to support ongoing skill development and workplace readiness.
17. Works collaboratively as a member of the team
18. Help to maintain a clean and organized learning environment
19. Maintains American Heart Association certification in First Aid and CPR.
20. Successfully completes Little City required training, re-training, and any additional training as required by Little City policies and practices, or as assigned by his or her immediate supervisor. Sanitize all surfaces, equipment and classroom toys
21. Other duties as assigned.
