School Youth Worker (Tiong Bahru)

Job Scope:

• Supporting SDT and SMT in student management and discipline matters (such as investigation, reporting, communication with stakeholders (e.g. taking students’ statements).
• Assisting in drafting and administering behavioural management forms
• Guiding/coaching students who are on in-house suspension or Controlled Recess Duty
• Providing direct supervision of identified students (may require to sit in classrooms)
• Responding to call for help from teachers to manage students’ inappropriate behaviour and bring them to a calming room
• Providing basic counselling for students

Requirements:

• Qualifications (Higher Nitec, Diploma or Degree or equivalent) in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Youth Work or related disciplines
• The Personnel should have preferably 1 year experience working with children or youth.

Working Hours: Mondays to Fridays: 7:30am to 2:30pm, 7 hours per day inclusive of 1 hour lunch break (Reporting hours may change to fit the school’s needs).

• Service is not required on Saturdays, Sundays, gazetted public holidays and School Holidays (March, June, September and December)

Contract Period: 20 July 2026 to 19 July 2027 (1 year)
