SCM-Global Sr Project Manager(local)-Shenzhen

Position Summary

The Global Planning & SIOP Project Manager leads strategic initiatives to strengthen Vertiv’s global Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning process. This role drives process standardization, governance, digitalization, and continuous improvement across demand, supply, capacity, inventory, and workforce planning.

The position partners with Global and Regional Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, HR, and IT to improve visibility, decision-making, and alignment between customer demand and operational capacity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of the global SIOP framework.
  • Standardize planning processes, governance routines, calendars, KPIs, and escalation mechanisms.
  • Align demand, supply, capacity, inventory, labor, and financial plans across regions and sites.
  • Lead global planning and SIOP projects from assessment through implementation and stabilization.
  • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams, milestones, risks, dependencies, and executive updates.
  • Support scenario planning for demand changes, material constraints, labor needs, capacity gaps, and operational risks.
  • Improve planning tools, data quality, reporting, automation, and Power BI dashboards.
  • Partner with IT and Digital teams on planning systems, analytics, and digital SIOP capabilities.
  • Build planning capability through standard work, training, and best-practice deployment.
  • Track performance, identify gaps, and ensure actions are assigned and completed.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in planning, supply chain, manufacturing, SIOP, S&OP, IBP, or project management.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects in a global or multi-site manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of demand, supply, capacity, inventory, and production planning.
  • Strong analytical, project-management, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to influence across functions and regions without direct authority.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with ERP, planning, or BI systems.
  • Fluent English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • APICS, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, IBF, or similar certification.
  • Experience with Oracle, SAP, Kinaxis, Anaplan, Power BI, or comparable tools.
  • Experience deploying global SIOP, S&OP, or IBP processes.
  • Experience in complex, high-growth, configure-to-order, or engineer-to-order manufacturing environments.
