NBCUniversal’s Technical Operations Enterprise Product team builds products and services to organizations throughout NBCUniversal including Ad Sales, Broadcast Operations, NBC Digital, NBC News, NBC Sports, Cable Entertainment brands and local TV stations. The Enterprise Product team span 6 key verticals: Content Management, Content Sales and Finance, Scheduling and Distribution, Ad Sales, Ad Technology and Integration, Data and Analytics, and Linear Distribution. Within the Ad Technology and Integration team, we are ultimately responsible for evolving our mission-critical digital ad tech stack to enable monetization of NBCU’s billion-dollar digital ad sales portfolio.

We are responsible for continuously monitoring our production environments to ensure the optimal end-user video ad experience across our STB, OTT, desktop, and mobile platforms. We constantly strive to innovate and discover new ways to optimize our business processes by implementing new tools, systems, and processes to help manage and grow NBCU’s Digital business.

The Ad Technology and Integration team is looking for a highly collaborative Scrum Master to organize and coordinate Ad Integration & Technology programs across the NBCU Operations & Technology (O&T) portfolio. You will provide strategic guidance to Product Owners, Product Integration Leads, QA leads, and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects of medium to large scale through sprints/iterations and phases of the project. Requirements gathering from the business users and ability to work with the business partners on clear and concise project status and communications.
  • Facilitate sprint planning, release planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other related events.
  • In partnership with product owner work with the scrum team on user story sizing and acceptance criteria definition, the definition of minimal viable product, and continuous refinement and prioritization the product backlog.
  • Communicate team metrics per agile tracking system and provide transparency regarding sprint/release progress to all teams and management.
  • Facilitate discussion, conflict resolution, and have an ability to track and remove impediments efficiently
  • Promote continuous improvement and help teams to increase velocity by providing direction for project activities to ensure successful implementation provide strategic thinking and tactical execution and promote a collaborative team environment that fosters experimentation, creativity and innovation.
  • Update company program management systems for status, assist in the preparation and analysis of budgets and forecasts and resource capacity planning.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of Scrum Master experience.
  • Experience with SAFe, and excellent working knowledge of Atlassian workflows and operations.
  • Scrum Master certification is a must with SAFe Agilist experience.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience managing global projects teams with competing priorities, diverse business objectives, and time zones constraints
  • Ability to collect information from multiple sources, document concepts using data + visualizations, and present complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience within media and entertainment industry
  • Experience with Microsoft 365
  • Experience in IT, Agile Product & App Development environment highly preferred
  • Experience with JIRA, Lucidchart, Smartsheet, Tableau or PowerBI
  • Program Management Professional (PgMP), Project Management Professional (PMP), and/or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certifications a plus

Salary range: $90,000 - $130,000
