Seafood Preparer Supervisor

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead the seafood preparation team to ensure daily production targets are achieved.

  • Prepare, clean, gut, scale, fillet, portion, and pack a wide variety of seafood products.

  • Handle live and frozen seafood, including shellfish, fish, and other seafood products.

  • Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.

  • Maintain cleanliness of preparation areas, equipment, and cold rooms throughout the shift.

  • Monitor product quality and minimize wastage.

  • Train and supervise junior staff on seafood preparation techniques and workplace safety.

  • Perform inventory checks, stock rotation, and receiving of seafood deliveries.

  • Work in cold, wet, and slippery environments for extended periods.

  • Lift and carry seafood cartons weighing up to 25kg on a regular basis.

  • Stand for long hours and perform repetitive manual tasks throughout the shift.

  • Be prepared to work early morning shifts, weekends, public holidays, and overtime when operationally required.

  • Assist with any other operational duties assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in seafood processing or food manufacturing is preferred.

  • Comfortable handling raw seafood, including live seafood.

  • Physically fit and able to perform manual labour in a chilled working environment.

  • Able to lead a team and work under pressure to meet production deadlines.

  • Willing to work flexible shifts and extended hours during peak periods.
