This position is located in the Facility Maintenance department of the Pawnee Indian Health Center in Pawnee, Oklahoma. Incumbent will perform a variety of clerical and administrative duties in support of department's daily operations and assists the supervisor and staff by ensuring effective office coordination, communication, and workflow. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).

Receives visitors and telephone calls for the work unit, determines the nature of requests, and provides routine information or refers matters to appropriate staff or the supervisor. Maintains the supervisor's calendar and advises of scheduling conflicts or changes. Prepares routine correspondence, memoranda, and reports using office automation software based on established formats. Responds to requests for information regarding work functions by locating information from files, records, or established sources. Maintains files and records in accordance with established filing systems and records management procedures. Performs timekeeping duties, including maintaining time and attendance records and preparing corrections. Makes routine travel arrangements, initiates travel authorizations and prepares travel documentation in accordance with established procedures. Orders office supplies and equipment, maintains inventory levels, and coordinates service or repair requests as needed.

Background Investigation Requirement: This position requires the successful completion of a federal background investigation as a condition of employment. A background investigation is a standard process used by the Federal Government to verify an individual's identity, employment history, education, and other relevant information to determine suitability for Federal service. Timely completion is critical to avoid delays in processing or a determination of unsuitability.
