Atlantic Health, one of the largest integrated healthcare systems in New Jersey, is seeking a seasoned pediatric surgeon to become Section Chief, Pediatric Surgery and join our team at Atlantic Health Goryeb Children’s Hospital, the flagship children’s facility of Atlantic Health, located within Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center, as well as Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center. The Section of Pediatric Surgery specializes in a comprehensive range of surgical procedures, including thoracic, oncologic, neonatal, and emergency surgeries.

The Section of Pediatric Surgery is part of the Department of Surgery which hosts a free-standing residency training program in general surgery, known for producing seven highly skilled general surgeons annually. The department takes pride in actively engaging in the education of medical students from the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. Atlantic Health Goryeb Children’s Hospital serves as a regional campus for their clinical rotations, reflecting our commitment to fostering the future of healthcare through comprehensive training and academic involvement.

Atlantic Health Goryeb Children’s Hospital at Atlantic Health Morristown is a renowned children’s facility within Atlantic Health and is the only one with a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and a staff of pediatric anesthesiologists. The Pediatric Surgeons at Atlantic Health Goryeb Children’s Hospital at Atlantic Health Morristown receive transfer children from all Atlantic Health Hospitals, as well as other community hospitals in the region. Salary Range: $600,000–$660,000 base salary only; excludes any quality and/or productivity incentives

• Must be Board Certified in Pediatric Surgery
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of New Jersey
• Demonstrated success working individually and as part of a team for a minimum of 10 years
• Experience in thoracic and/or oncological pediatric surgery is preferred
