Security Engineer
About this role
As a Security Engineer, you’ll design, build and continuously improve the security controls and tooling that underpin detection and response, exposure management and data protection across our cloud-first environment.
This is not a passive tooling role—you’ll take ownership of how security platforms operate at scale. You’ll engineer integrations, automate workflows, and improve the quality and usability of security signals to enable faster, more effective operational outcomes.
You’ll work across EDR, cloud and SaaS security platforms, embedding them into broader engineering and operational workflows (including CI/CD wherever possible), and driving continuous improvement in how security is delivered as a service to the organisation.
About you
You’re a hands-on security engineer who enjoys building, automating and improving security outcomes—not just operating tools.
You’ve worked with modern security platforms (EDR, cloud and SaaS security, vulnerability management or DLP) and understand how to integrate them into engineering and operational workflows.
You bring strong capability in scripting or automation (e.g. Python, Terraform or similar), and have experience reducing manual effort through repeatable, scalable solutions.
You’re comfortable working in cloud-first environments and have experience onboarding telemetry, building integrations, and improving the fidelity and usefulness of security outputs.
Most importantly, you take ownership of problems—continuously improving signal quality, reducing noise, and making security tooling more effective for those who rely on it.
What you’ll bring:
Experience building or automating security workflows (e.g. scripting, Terraform, CDK, API integrations)
Hands-on experience with at least one of: EDR, cloud/SaaS security, vulnerability management or DLP
Ability to integrate security tooling into broader engineering or operational workflows (e.g. telemetry, pipelines, alerting)
Solid understanding of security fundamentals (e.g. detection, response, access control, data protection)
Nice to have:
Experience in cloud-first or regulated environments
Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g. NIST, ISO 27001)
Relevant security certifications
We know some people only apply when they meet every requirement. We’re always on the lookout for curious individuals who will add to the culture – so if this role resonates with you and you have relevant experience, we’d love to hear from you!
