Security Lead, Cloud Security Operations
Be the one building AI-powered experiences where they matter most.
At Genesys, we help organizations create better customer experiences through AI-powered experience orchestration. Our platform connects people, systems, data and AI to help organizations deliver more personalized service, improve operational efficiency and build stronger customer relationships.
Help build, support and operate technology used by more than 8,000 organizations in over 100 countries – moving AI from possibility to production in real-world enterprise environments every day.
As the Security Lead, Cloud Security Operations for the Swiss Cloud Security team, you will manage a new, high-impact regional unit. You will oversee the full spectrum of security operations for the region, ensuring our infrastructure mirrors the technical excellence of our global commercial divisions while meeting stringent local regulatory requirements (FINMA). We are looking for a hands-on manager who can build a high-performing team from the ground up and possesses extensive experience in leading technical engineering solutions.
What you will do:
Team Management: Manage a multi-functional team responsible for the four core pillars of our operations: General Security Operations & Admin, Vulnerability Management, Threat Hunting & Detection Engineering, and Incident Response.
Operational Excellence: Ensure the Swiss environment mirrors global security standards and automations, adapting them to meet local regulatory and data residency requirements.
Technical Leadership: Serve as a key technical resource for the region, guiding the team through complex security reviews and serving as an escalation point for high-stakes incidents.
Collaborative Bridge: Partner with global Security Development, Pentesting, and Compliance teams to implement long-term security solutions across the Genesys Cloud ecosystem.
Innovation & AI: Drive the adoption of AI-driven workflows to automate repetitive tasks and increase the efficiency of regional security monitoring and response.
What you will bring to the role:
7+ years of professional security experience. This includes a proven track record of leading engineering solutions, whether through direct people management or as a team lead/project lead with experience delegating work.
Web App Security Proficiency: Familiarity with the OWASP Top 10 and securing web-based applications, including experience with input sanitization and web-layer defenses.
Stakeholder Management: Ability to communicate complex security risks to both technical teams and senior leadership to drive remediation and help define "acceptable" solutions.
Talent Development & Resource Orchestration: Proven ability to mentor technical staff and effectively delegate workloads across a generalist team to ensure all four operational "cogs" (Ops, Vulnerability, Detection, and IR) move in sync.
Operational Maturity: Experience navigating high-uptime, cloud-native environments where security must be balanced with business velocity.
Location: Physical presence in Switzerland is mandatory for regulatory data access.
Desirable experience with:
Managing full-stack tool types: Logging/SIEM/SOAR, EDR/Cloud Security, Vulnerability Scanning, and SAST/SCA.
Knowledge of Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR) and modern ITSM solutions (e.g., JIRA).
Certifications/Degrees (Advantageous but not required):
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
CISSP, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, CCSK, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent.
