SECURITY SHIFT SUPERVISOR
General Summary of Job Duties
Under the guidance of the Director of Security, Security Manager and/or Security Shift Manager supervises the actions and behaviors of Security Officers assists with patrols hotel and casino premises to maintain order, enforce regulations, and ensure observance of applicable laws thus providing protection from and elimination of any element or agent which may tend to jeopardize the welfare and security of the company assets, properties, Guests or Team Members.
Principle Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintain a high quality of guest service.
- Check for proper identification of a guest appearing to be under the age of 30 years old.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future.
- Supervises plans and schedules Security activities.
- In the absence of the Security Director, Security Manager or Security Shift Manger determines personnel deployment and staffing level requirements and assignments as well as establishes the priority work assignments within a shift.
- Schedules, evaluates and monitors subordinate personnel. Assigns work, grants overtime (at Security Directors approval), early outs, disciplines employees.
- Inspects and evaluates Security Officers for alertness, appearance and proper performance while on duty and corrects deficiencies.
- Supervises and directs special activities as directed by the Security Shift Manager, Security Manager or Director of Security.
- Provides independent departmental participation in procedures and transactions affecting the Casino and related departments.
- Access to drop boxes, soft count and coin rooms, chips, markers, fills slips, keno write area and Table Games.
- Accurate with all money and fill exchanges.
- Performs all duties of Security Officer, as needed.
- Maintains an awareness of company and departmental policies, procedures and rules and monitors compliance.
- Promotes a working environment, in which subordinate personnel can perform assigned duties within established guidelines, procedures and laws.
- Takes appropriate measures to promote the safety of customers, guests and employees.
- Conducts routine and established patrols, observations, prevention and reporting during assigned shift.
- Promotes and monitors the confidential treatment of all relevant information.
- Provides accurate documentation of departmental activities.
- Promotes ongoing effective communications with relevant Silverton and outside personnel.
- Determines and implements appropriate action as directed by events.
- Promotes proper treatment and effective use of assigned equipment and supplies.
- Perform duties of a subordinate as required.
- Practice teamwork. Support your fellow employees and treat one another the way we treat our guests. Create and energized and positive work atmosphere.
- Other duties as assigned.
