The Senior Account Executive is responsible for helping medium and large organizations achieve their business goals by leveraging Microsoft’s cloud, AI, data, security, and productivity solutions. This role develops and maintains trusted relationships with executive leaders, business decision makers, and technical stakeholders while leading customer engagements that drive measurable business outcomes.

The Senior Account Executive acts as a trusted advisor to customers, orchestrating Microsoft resources and partner capabilities to address customer needs, accelerate digital transformation, and create long-term customer and business value.

Responsibilities

The Senior Account Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth, customer success, and digital transformation across an assigned territory of medium and large organizations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute territory and account strategies to achieve revenue growth and customer success objectives.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with C-level executives, business decision makers, and technical stakeholders.
  • Understand customers’ business priorities, challenges, and transformation initiatives to identify opportunities for Microsoft solutions and services.
  • Lead complex sales engagements from opportunity creation through negotiation and deal closure.
  • Orchestrate Microsoft sales, technical, and customer success resources, as well as partner capabilities, to address customer needs.
  • Drive adoption of AI, cloud, security, data, and business application solutions that support customers’ business outcomes.
  • Generate and accelerate pipeline through account planning, customer engagement, digital sales tools, and partner co-selling motions.
  • Maximize retention, renewal, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Utilize data, insights, and digital tools to improve sales execution, forecasting accuracy, and business performance.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by helping customers define and execute their digital transformation strategy.
  • Continuously develop expertise in Microsoft technologies, industry trends, and consultative selling methodologies.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in technology sales, solution sales, business development, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and partner ecosystems.
  • Strong self-motivation and ability to drive business outcomes through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience with solution-selling methodologies and cloud-based technology solutions.
  • Experience engaging with C-level executives and senior business leaders.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to understand customer business challenges and translate them into strategic technology solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Native-level Japanese language proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling AI, cloud, data, security, or business application solutions.
  • Experience working with partner-led sales motions or indirect sales channels.
  • Business-level English communication skills.
  • Industry expertise in one or more commercial sectors.
