Senior Accountant

This role supports key accounting operations, leads month-end close activities, ensures financial accuracy, and contributes to process improvements across the organization. Compensation: $90,000 - $100,000 base salary depending on experience

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
  • Prepare and analyze monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and P&L fluctuations
  • Ensure accuracy of financial records in compliance with GAAP and company policies
  • Perform account analyses and identify variances, trends, and opportunities for improvement
  • Manage bank reconciliations, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and other accounting schedules
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, audits, tax filings, and internal reporting requests
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to gather information for accruals, allocations, and reporting
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen controls
  • Mentor junior accounting staff and assist with special projects as needed

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required (2+ senior experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
  • Familiarity with ASC 606 and ASC 842 preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and SUMIFS
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • CPA certification or CPA-track preferred
  • Experience in a multi-location, service-based, or high-growth environment is a plus
