Senior Accountant – Secondary Processing

As the Senior Accountant within the accounting team, this\nrole serves as the primary financial anchor for plant operations. Working\nclosely with the Divisional Controller, Plant General Manager, and Operations\nManager, you will manage day\-to\-day operational accounting, ensure data\nintegrity, and provide the critical financial visibility needed to drive\nfacility efficiency.<\/span>

You will have functional oversight of plant\-level\nfinancial reconciliation\u2014including cost accounting, inventory integrity,\nvariance analysis, and purchasing governance\u2014while maintaining absolute\nconfidentiality. By translating raw operational data into precise, structured\nreports, you will provide management with the analytical insight required to\nmanage risk, optimize manufacturing margins, and support informed\ndecision\-making.<\/span>

Essential Duties and Responsibilities<\/span><\/span><\/u><\/b>

The responsibilities of the position include the following:<\/span><\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Lead\nthe monthly close process for the facility, managing the preparation, analysis,\nand execution of comprehensive plant financial statements in strict alignment\nwith corporate deadlines, formats, and protocols. <\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Support\nthe annual budgeting and forecasting process by partnering with the Controller\nand plant management to compile operating plans and long\-range financial\nmodels. <\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Analyze\nand interpret variances, transforming monthly operational results into clear,\nactionable financial commentary for plant and financial leadership. <\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Execute\nad\-hoc financial analysis, capital expenditure (CapEx) evaluations, and\nspecialized cost investigations as directed by financial or plant\nmanagement. <\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Review\nand benchmark plant performance metrics, tracking labor efficiency, raw\nmaterial yields, manufacturing overhead, and distribution expenses to highlight\ncost\-saving opportunities. <\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Coordinate\nroutine audits of Bills of Materials (BOM), labor routings, and price codes to\nensure product standard costs accurately reflect factory floor realities. <\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Maintain\na continuous feedback loop with the General Manager and Operations Manager to\nhelp diagnose production variances, bottleneck costs, and margin\nfluctuations. <\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Oversee\nand validate the integrity of raw material physical inventories and\ncycle\-counting programs; investigate and resolve book\-to\-physical variances. <\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Manage\nthe monthly inventory review process to identify, track, and mitigate financial\nexposure from slow\-moving, excess, or obsolete (E&O) inventory.<\/span><\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Manage\nand perform Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable duties.<\/span><\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Ensure\nstrict GAAP compliance across all facility financial transactions, internal\nrecords, and data transmissions in accordance with corporate policies. <\/span><\/span><\/span>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Maintain\na strong internal control environment, proactively partnering with corporate\nfinance to uphold compliance and address internal audit requirements. <\/span><\/span><\/span>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Guarantee\nabsolute confidentiality and data security regarding sensitive financial\nmetrics, corporate strategies, and personnel data. <\/span><\/span><\/span>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Minimum\nof five (5) years of related accounting/finance experience (preferably in a\nmanufacturing or production environment).<\/span>

This position is for our Seattle, WA corporate office. Open to hybrid\n(for right candidate), would require at least 3 days per week in office.<\/span><\/span>

Salary\nDisclosure<\/u><\/b><\/span>
<\/p>

The typical base\npay range for this role is $95,000\-$115,000 per year. Individual base pay\ndepends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as\ncomplexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant\nexperience and skills.<\/span>
