Reporting to the Corporate Manager, the Senior Accountant role entails the management and oversight of the financial health of the organization. The responsibilities include ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and the efficient operation of the financial department. Expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic financial planning is crucial to support the company's growth and decision-making processes. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to provide valuable insights and recommendations for enhancing the organization's financial performance and operational efficiency is also part of the role. This position plays a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of the financial records and contributing to the overall financial success of the organization.
What you will be responsible for:
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis and provide insights.
- Investigate and explain variances in financial performance.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks.
- Prepare and present ad hoc financial reports and analysis.
Budgeting and Planning:
- Develop and manage the company's budget.
- Collaborate with departments to create accurate forecasts.
- Provide financial guidance and support for strategic planning.
Financial Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with financial and tax regulations.
- Implement and maintain internal financial controls.
- Conduct periodic financial audits.
- Assist with tax planning and accurate tax filings.
Cash Flow Management:
- Manage cash flow and optimize cash reserves.
- Recommend strategies to ensure liquidity.
Financial Systems and Record Keeping:
- Oversee and maintain financial systems and software.
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records.
Month-End and Year-End Closing:
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Perform reconciliations and accruals as needed.
Interdepartmental Collaboration:
- Collaborate with various departments for financial guidance.
Financial Projects:
- Lead or contribute to financial projects.
Staff Development:
- Mentor and guide junior team members.

What we need from you:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA).
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
- Deep knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting and financial software.
- Experience with financial auditing.
- Strong financial analysis abilities.
- Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Tax planning and compliance expertise.
- Financial reporting and statement preparation skills.
- Cash flow management and liquidity optimization.
- Attention to detail in financial record-keeping.
