Role Purpose:

The Senior Accounting Analyst of Collections and Financial Planning plays a key role in the finance department of Compañía de Seguros Generales Everest Mexico S.A. de C.V.., responsible for leading the company’s accounts receivable (collections) function and overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. This role ensures strong cash flow management, accurate financial projections, and alignment between operational performance and strategic financial objectives within a regulated insurance environment. Reporting to the CFO, the Senior Accounting Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams and supports continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department.

The Senior Accounting Analyst of Collections and Financial Planning responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end accounts receivable and collections process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial, Finance, Accounting, or related field.

  • 3–5+ years of finance experience including collections and FP&A.

  • Insurance or financial services experience preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of financial planning and collections processes

  • English language advanced (plus)

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database tools.

  • Exceptional oral and written communication with the ability to concisely provide executive summaries to senior management.

  • Strong problem-solving analytical skills, with an ability to drive data analytics and make appropriate conclusions on results.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines across a variety of stakeholders to meet targets and deliverable dates.

  • Team oriented and ability to work effectively with peers.

  • Demonstrated bias for action with a high sense of urgency, strong work ethic and drive for results.

  • Experience with corporate governance and controls management, including processes and systems.

  • Experience with a wide variety of assignments around operational workflow including systems is an asset.
