Senior Acoustics Consultant

In this senior consulting role, you'll lead environmental and architectural acoustics projects from concept through completion while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams. You'll combine technical expertise with client-facing leadership to develop practical, high-quality acoustic solutions that balance performance and project objectives. Accountabilities:
- Lead environmental and architectural acoustics consulting projects, managing technical delivery from initial assessment through final reporting.
- Perform acoustical analysis, field measurements, site observations, and computer modeling to develop effective sound control and noise mitigation solutions.
- Prepare technical reports, design calculations, specifications, schedules, and drawing reviews while ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Serve as the primary technical advisor for clients, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders throughout all project phases.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating schedules, budgets, deliverables, and client communications.
- Mentor and support junior acoustics professionals while contributing to the continued growth and development of the consulting team.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to integrate acoustical design into a wide range of complex building projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or another STEM-related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in acoustics consulting and measurements within the built environment.
- Strong expertise in environmental acoustics, architectural acoustics, field testing, construction observation, and noise control solutions, particularly involving mechanical and power generation equipment.
- Experience preparing acoustics reports, performing sound isolation and room acoustics calculations, and developing technical specifications.
- Proficiency using acoustical modeling software, including SoundPlan.
- Demonstrated experience leading projects, managing client relationships, and mentoring technical team members.
- Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% as required.
- Remote position within the United States (preference for candidates located in Southern California, Chicago, Dallas, or Atlanta).
- Competitive annual base salary of $100,000 – $125,000, based on experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
