The role:

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Administrator to join our team at our Renacres Hospital, Ormskirk. Working with SLT, HODs and consultants to maximise Outpatient capacity and clinic utilisation with Renacres Hospital.

  • Through the coordination of clinics, you will support both sites in the delivery of its OP appointments, OP procedures, admissions and revenue targets.

  • Supporting the site to increase the volume of Self Pay and Insured Outpatient activity.

  • Manage and plan bespoke clinic schedules per consultant to ensure there are the appropriate availability of online private appointments.

  • Utilise conversation data to ensure there are the correct ratio of new to follow up appointment allocation.

  • To build effective partnerships with SLT, medical secretaries and consultants to increase engagement whilst delivering on targets for Outpatient utilisation.

  • Work with consultants and medical secretaries to ensure that consultant PMI profiles are optimised.

  • Negotiate extra capacity with the staff and consultants to successfully deliver additional utilisation often at short notice when cancellations or increased demand occurs.

  • Work efficiently with the Outpatients bookings team to assist with managing the e-RS & RTT pathways and ensure any issues are identified and addressed.

  • Undertake administrative process reviews to identify where efficiency can be improved.

  • Manage and update the Consultants directory annually to ensure all our services are accurate and up to date.

  • Support our teams to ensure patient facing hospital displays are consistent with our clinical and commercial objectives.

Essential Skills:

  • Previous experience within hospital administration and electronic booking systems

  • Previous Customer Service Experience with patients and consultant stakeholders

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience of using analytical skills

  • Clinic scheduling experience

  • Experience of managing consultant profiles and appointment utilisation
