Your Role: Business Services Operations & Integration Senior Specialist (Global CapEx Administration)

We are seeking a motivated Business Services Operations & Integration Specialist to join our Research & Development Global Operations & Transformation team. This role is pivotal in driving Operational Excellence and executing key Capital Expenditure (CapEx) portfolio administration activities across our global R&D footprint.

You will play a critical role in ensuring that capital investment projects move efficiently from concept to execution by partnering with cross-functional stakeholders worldwide. This position requires strong operational discipline, financial acumen, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment.

Responsibilities

CapEx Administration

• Coordinate and administer global R&D CapEx processes in alignment with defined strategies and financial policies.
• Manage CapEx requests, including vendor verification, new vendor requests, budget tracking, documentation of business justifications, and compliance with global standards.
• Execute the end-to-end CapEx lifecycle in partnership with R&D Functional Leaders, Site Operations, Procurement, and Finance.
• Demonstrate strong working knowledge of SAP processes, including Purchase Order creation and CapEx project milestone tracking.
• Ensure effective execution and delivery of R&D-related commitments within the annual corporate capital expenditure plan.
• Provide stakeholder support and proactively track milestones to ensure timely project delivery.

Data & Reporting

• Maintain and enhance project dashboards and tracking tools.
• Deliver regular updates and insights to leadership on operational metrics and project status.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Serve as a liaison between scientific teams. Global Operations, and Finance.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives and special projects.

Operational Excellence

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and accurate forecasting.
• Support long-term planning through contributions to multi-year forecasting strategies.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of team objectives.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field, Business Operations, or a related discipline.

Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in CapEx administration, operations, or a related field.
• Prior experience in life sciences, R&D, or a global organization preferred.
• Hands-on experience with financial systems (e.g., SAP).

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in project management.
• Demonstrated success in driving process improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems (e.g., SAP preferred)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
