Flora Food Group is looking for an experienced Senior VAT Tax Analyst to join our Global Business Services Finance team.

This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely VAT compliance across multiple countries while supporting indirect tax reporting, financial accounting, audits, and process improvements. Role Summary

As a Senior VAT Tax Analyst, you will support end-to-end VAT compliance activities across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accurate tax reporting, reconciliations, and financial accounting. You will work closely with Local Finance, Tax, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable teams to maintain compliance with local VAT regulations, strengthen internal controls, and support audit requirements.

This role also provides the opportunity to drive process automation, improve tax reporting efficiency, and contribute to finance transformation initiatives within a global shared services environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and support VAT and Intrastat returns across multiple legal entities and countries.
• Perform VAT accounting activities, including month-end journal entries, adjustments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with local VAT regulations, internal controls, and financial reporting requirements.
• Support VAT audits by preparing documentation and coordinating responses with internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Local Finance, and Tax teams to resolve VAT-related issues and ensure reporting accuracy.
• Drive continuous improvement through process standardization, automation, and ERP-enabled tax reporting enhancements.

What Does It Take to Be Successful in This Role?

• Indirect Tax Expertise – 5+ years of experience in VAT and indirect tax compliance, including VAT returns, Intrastat reporting, VAT accounting, reconciliations, and month-end activities within a multinational or shared services environment.
• Technical Knowledge – Strong understanding of EU VAT regulations, indirect tax principles, financial accounting, and internal controls, with experience supporting audits and statutory compliance.
• ERP & Systems Skills – Hands-on experience with SAP (preferred) or other ERP systems, with the ability to manage VAT reporting, reconciliations, and tax-related financial data.
• Stakeholder Management – Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across Local Finance, Tax, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and global business teams.
• Continuous Improvement Mindset – Analytical, detail-oriented professional with a proactive approach to improving VAT processes, strengthening controls, and supporting automation initiatives.
