Responsibilities
The Worker(s) will provide the following services:
The Worker will lead the design and implementation of the overall UpSIDES application architecture, creating a scalable, high-performance framework to transition client's from manual, paper-based processes to a modern electronic data exchange. This role involves designing the application logic required to implement the four standardized NASWA SIDES exchanges while ensuring strict adherence to technical specifications through secure APIs and web services. By architecting automated workflows, triggers, and electronic notifications, the Worker will improve processing accuracy and efficiency while implementing robust application-level security protocols, including encryption and authorization, to protect sensitive Unemployment Insurance data in compliance with state and federal standards.Serving as the primary technical lead, the Worker will provide expert guidance to the development team on coding standards, design patterns, and best practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality, maintainable code. The Worker will coordinate with Database Architects and legacy system experts to design integration points with existing UI systems and the Enterprise Data Warehouse, while producing comprehensive technical documentation such as architectural blueprints and system sequence diagrams. Furthermore, they will lead code review and quality assurance processes, mentor junior developers, and collaborate closely with project stakeholders in a highly collaborative environment to meet tight deadlines and maintain operational continuity throughout the system modernization. Extensive hands-on experience with enterprise-level application development using C#/.NET, Java Enterprise, or similar frameworks, specifically for building scalable web applications and services.

Proven experience designing and implementing secure web services (REST, SOAP) and managing electronic data exchanges (XML, JSON) between disparate internal and external systems.

Experience in developing, debugging, and modifying robust Unix/Linux shell scripts.

Proven ability to act as a Technical Lead, including planning project roadmaps, organizing cross-departmental technical coordination, and managing developer resources across different project phases.

Advanced knowledge of software architecture design patterns, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and security best practices for protecting data-in-transit.

Experience establishing and leading technical standards, including performing code reviews, mentoring developers, and collaborating with QA teams on complex integration testing.
