Senior Architect
As a Senior Architect, you are accountable for what gets built, why it gets built, and the conceptual architecture behind how it gets built across accounting platforms. You will define best practices, methods, standards, and procedures for technology systems across accounting and finance systems. This includes overseeing outputs and documenting internal processes and procedures. This role will require you to establish relationships with business partners to support project and technical solutions. Additionally, you will serve as a point of accountability for delivery within the Accounting Technologies pod, driving initiatives across Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and adjacent financial systems. You will partner closely with business stakeholders, technology leads, and enterprise architecture to ensure solutions are aligned with accounting processes, enterprise standards, and regulatory requirements, while enabling scalable delivery within an Agile pod.
Responsibilities
Collaborate and lead other members of the pod (developers, testers, etc.), process owners and leadership to ensure that all elements of proposed solutions meet clearly defined standards.
Manage a pod backlog, translating business needs into work items with clear acceptance criteria.
Drive planning and prioritization based on business value, risk, and dependencies.
Configure solutions that often have custom requirements recommending ways to streamline processes and create efficiencies while ensuring that architecture is consistent with enterprise architecture standards, guidelines, and principles.
Performing long term trend analysis regarding the implementation of new technological solutions; analyze data gathered and produce reports.
Collaborate with external vendors to align products with enterprise standards.
Experience:
- Solid understanding of platform architecture, challenges and how delivery impacts end users
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Ansible, Git)
- Experience deploying applications to AWS, Azure, and OCI
- Ability to pull data often by creating complex queries using SQL and other query languages
- Deep experience with Oracle E-Business Suite, including GL/FA/PA/AP modules.
- Development experience leveraging common frameworks such as Angular and Spring Boot
- Experience working in cross functional roles, business/data analysis, testing, architecture
- Ability to take high level business requirements and break them down into technical requirements
- Experience operating in an Agile environments and managing backlogs/sprints
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
Hours & Work Schedule
- Hours per Week: 40
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
- Hybrid: 4 days per week onsite, 1 day remote
