Te whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
Play a key role in our growing Asset Management Advisory team, working closely with clients to understand their assets, strategies, performance objectives, and operational challenges. You will partner with asset owners, operators, and delivery teams to develop pragmatic, data-informed approaches to asset planning, investment, and lifecycle management.
In this role, you will bring your expertise across the asset lifecycle to deliver meaningful outcomes for clients, from strategy through to operational optimisation. Key responsibilities include:
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand asset portfolios, performance requirements, risk profiles, and investment priorities
- Lead the development and implementation of asset management frameworks, aligned to ISO 55000 principles and industry best practice
- Support clients in establishing asset strategies, lifecycle plans, and capital investment programmes
- Provide guidance on asset information requirements, ensuring data supports decision-making across planning, delivery, and operations
- Work with project and operational teams to integrate asset management considerations into design, construction, and handover processes
- Advise on asset performance monitoring, maintenance strategies, and optimisation opportunities
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions to align asset objectives across organisations
- Establish governance, processes, and performance metrics to improve asset outcomes and accountability
- Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to capability development and knowledge sharing across the discipline

Ko wai koe | About you
You are a credible and confident asset management professional with the ability to operate across complex programmes and portfolios. With 7–15 years’ experience, you have a strong understanding of the New Zealand infrastructure environment and asset management practices.
You will bring:
- Tertiary qualification in engineering, infrastructure, asset management, surveying or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience applying asset management principles (e.g. ISO 55000) across infrastructure or property portfolios
- Experience in lifecycle planning, asset performance management, and investment decision-making
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships
- Commercial acumen and a practical, outcomes-focused mindset
- Experience working across multidisciplinary teams and complex environments
- A passion for improving how assets are planned, delivered, and operated to create long-term value
