The Senior Associate, Capital Reporting - Group, will be a member of the Capital Management team, which serves the company by reporting and monitoring capital in support of regulatory compliance, rating agency targets, strategic planning, and market expansion objectives. The primary responsibility of the position will be the quarterly production and estimations of the Group regulatory and rating agency positions. The position is expected to work closely with departments across the organization including Actuarial, Finance, Investments and Risk teams. The position will report to the AVP, Capital Reporting.

What You Will Do:

  • Execute the quarterly production process for regulatory capital for US-based entities under the NAIC Risk Based Capital regime, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting timelines.
  • Support the quarterly rating agency and Group capital position production process, contributing to the preparation of materials for annual filing requirements.
  • Develop and maintain movement analysis over regulatory and rating agency capital positions, identifying and clearly documenting key drivers of period-over-period change.
  • Support the monthly capital estimation process, providing timely updates based on market conditions and business profile changes to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory and rating agency targets.
  • Perform comparative analysis across capital bases to identify binding constraints and opportunities to optimize capital efficiency.
  • Execute controls as designed to ensure the accuracy and auditability of all capital reporting outputs, and flag issues for resolution as they arise.
  • Support new business activities by assessing capital requirements for potential acquisitions and reinsurance blocks, and assisting with the integration of new transactions into the production cycle.
  • Provide ad hoc capital analysis to support strategic initiatives as necessary.

What You Will Have:

  • Undergraduate degree required; actuarial science, finance, mathematics, or a related quantitative field preferred.
  • Associateship of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) with 3 years’ experience post-Associateship, FSA preferred.
  • 4+ years of insurance experience related to pricing, valuation or risk management.
  • Proficiency in Python, or similar programming languages (R Studio, C++).
  • Experience with database applications and business intelligence tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to adopt a creative approach to solving complex process problems.
  • Ability to manage multiple work assignments and meet time commitments.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

The base salary range for this role is listed below and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.
