We have an opportunity for an experienced Contaminated Land Consultant to join our Perth office on a permanent full-time basis.

Reporting to the Team Lead, you will be given the opportunity to lead and assist in contaminated land and remediation assessments and projects, working alongside supports locally and across APAC. We pride in delivering contaminated land services at a high standard. This role has potential to develop further into a formal team leadership role depending on the right candidate.

Job tasks & Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a high standard of technically sound reports with minimal technical review and correction required. (PSI, SAQP, DSI, RAPs, validation reports in line with QA/QC requirements)
  • Undertake and lead occasional fieldwork and support the training and development of junior staff across soil, soil vapour, sediment, surface water, groundwater, and landfill gas sampling, as well as well installation and logging.
  • Develop strong relationships externally with clients, to provide competent project management of moderate size and effectively lead project teams
  • Develop proposals, bids and tenders as required
  • Display confidence in data analysis, interpretation and management with solid technical writing capability.
  • Work seamlessly in a team environment across multidisciplinary projects and provide oversight and mentoring to a growing LQR team
  • Committed to our core principles in health and safety, and environment and sustainability.

Skills & Experience

  • A professional qualification in environmental science, engineering, geology, hydrogeology, soil science or other earth science related degree.
  • Between 8-12+ years of experience in a similar role across consulting services in Australia.
  • Proven capability in project management experience within environmental contamination management and remediation (soil and groundwater)
  • A high level of commercial acumen and proven success in developing winning proposals and client relationship management.
  • Exposure to people management within small teams, with a strong interest in further developing leadership and management responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal – particularly across report writing and computer literacy.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work efficiently in teams.
  • Excellent driving history and hold a current unrestricted driver's license.
  • Full and unrestricted working rights in Australia.
