Role Purpose:

The Business Analyst – Community Content & Data Stewardship is responsible for building, maintaining, and governing CAPMAP content as a trusted enterprise “community platform”, starting with Freight Forwarding Operations and designed to scale across Air Freight, Ocean Freight, and Value-Added Services.

The role acts as the bridge between global standards and regional reality, ensuring that CAPMAP content is:

  1. Complete

  2. Accurate

  3. Actively adopted

  4. Fit for operational, commercial, finance, legal, and PMO use

Much like a community content manager in social platforms, this role shapes behaviors, enforces standards, drives participation, and protects content integrity.

Operating from the Global Service Centre, the role relies on strong influencing and stakeholder engagement capabilities to drive consistent adoption, data quality, and accountability across country operations through partnership and visible operational sponsorship rather than direct authority.

Key Role Responsibilities:

1. Community Content Ownership

  • Own the Freight Forwarding Operations community content within CAPMAP, acting as the central point of coordination and quality control.
  • Ensure all locations, capabilities, and services are maintained in line with approved global standards and definitions.
  • Translate governance rules (Single Source of Truth, ownership, interfaces) into practical content standards for regions
    .

2. Data Quality, Completeness & Lifecycle Management

  • Track and monitor regional progress on CAPMAP data completeness, accuracy, and adoption using structured trackers and dashboards.
  • Perform regular data health checks, including:
  • Completeness vs. required attributes
  • Duplicate or overlapping entries
  • Inconsistent naming, categorization, or capability tagging
  • Obsolete or inactive locations/services

Execute controlled system clean-ups, ensuring auditability and alignment with governance decisions.

3. Community Engagement & Follow-Up

  • Actively engage regional contributors and data owners to:
  • Clarify expectations
  • Resolve data gaps
  • Drive timely updates and corrections
  • Function as a community moderator:
  • Answer questions on how CAPMAP should be used
  • Escalate recurring issues or ambiguities to governance forums
  • Reinforce accountability by tracking who owns what and following through to closure.

4. Standards, Blueprints & Replicability

  • Support the design, refinement, and documentation of:
  • Location models
  • Building Blocks and Solution Blueprints
  • Service taxonomies
  • Ensure the Freight Forwarding Operations community provides a scalable structural foundation that can be:
  • Extended with increased domain-specific detail for Air Freight, Ocean Freight, and Value Added Services, and
  • Replicated across other DP World capability communities, such as Contract Logistics, Market Access, Parks & Economic Zones, and Ports & Terminals.
  • Highlight where regional exceptions challenge global standards and propose structured resolutions.

5. Stakeholder Collaboration & Decision Support

  • Work closely with Global, Regional, and Functional stakeholders across:
  • Operations and OpsX
  • IT / Data teams
  • Commercial and marketing
  • Finance and Legal
  • Prepare clear summaries, issue logs, and decision trackers to support governance discussions.
  • Provide structured insights into:
  • Adoption gaps
  • Data quality risks
  • Readiness of CAPMAP to support downstream systems and reporting


Skills & Competencies

  • Establishment and ongoing stewardship of a trusted Freight Forwarding Operations community within CAPMAP, ensuring high-quality, complete, and consistently maintained content.
  • Standardised and governed CAPMAP content structures (locations, capabilities, services) enabling reliable use across global, regional, and functional stakeholders.
  • Measurable improvements in CAPMAP data completeness, accuracy, and adoption across regions.
  • Effective community governance and moderation framework, including clear ownership, contribution rules, and issue resolution mechanisms.
  • Scalable community content model, supporting domain-specific extensions for Air Freight, Ocean Freight, and Value Added Services, and replication across other DP World capability communities.
  • Comprehensive documentation, guidelines, and support materials, driving consistent understanding, usage, and compliance with CAPMAP standards.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business Analysis, Data Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2–4 years of experience in data stewardship, content management, business analysis, operations support, or a similar role in a multi-country environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, with the maturity and credibility to engage country operational leaders in a Global Service Centre context, secure active sponsorship, and drive sustained adoption and accountability across a complex matrix organisation.
  • Good understanding of logistics or freight forwarding operations, with the ability to work confidently across Freight Forwarding, Air Freight, Ocean Freight, or related domains.
  • Proven ability to manage and maintain structured enterprise content or master data using defined standards, templates, and governance rules.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with high attention to detail and discipline in documentation and tracking.
  • Proficiency in Excel and similar tools for data validation, reconciliation, tracking, and reporting (no programming required).
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage, follow up, and collaborate effectively with regional and functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and act as a trusted point of coordination and content authority.
