Senior Associate, Investment Operations Specialist (Settlement & Reconciliation), Global Financial Markets Operations (GFMO), Group COO (WD85336)
Job Purpose
This role sits within Global Financial Markets Operations, supporting Derivatives Clearing and Execution (DCE) for exchange-traded derivatives. The position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of trade and position processing for DCE clients. This includes statement delivery, reconciliation, funding activities, and regulatory reporting. The role is critical in maintaining robust post-trade controls, ensuring operational integrity, and supporting business growth across new products, exchanges, and broker.
Key Accountabilities
Perform end-to-end post-trade operational processes for exchange-traded derivatives, including trade capture, funding, reconciliation, and lifecycle management, in accordance with established procedures and SLAs
Ensure all client trades and positions are accurately processed, validated, and reported
Support new business initiatives and product expansion, ensuring operational readiness and appropriate control frameworks are in place
Job Duties & responsibilities
Execute daily operations processes for exchange-traded derivatives, ensuring timely and accurate processing in accordance with service level agreements.
Process the assigned post trade operational tasks accurately, timely and in accordance with the standard operating procedures. The tasks, among others include TOP-day trade validation, exchange and broker reconciliation, position close-out and transfers, futures and options expiry/exercise/assignment, physical delivery, large position reporting, and funding related activities such as processing of margin deposits and withdrawal
Manage queries from internal stakeholders, clearing brokers, exchanges, and regulators within agreed turnaround times
Provide effective support to internal clients and stakeholders
Ensure strict adherence to all internal controls and procedures; and maintain up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and support audit and control requirements
Support audits, regulatory reviews, and control-related requirements
Participate in projects, system enhancements, and process improvement initiatives
Continuously review and monitor processes and workflow for improvement in efficiency and productivity
Support the Team Lead in team coordination, oversight, and delivery of team objectives
Required Experience
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with at least 5 years of experience, preferably within global markets derivatives operations, futures brokerage or investment banking.
Strong understanding of exchange-traded derivatives and post-trade operational processes
Experience in system enhancements, automation, or data analysis (e.g. VBA, Excel, SQL) is an advantage
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to work on shifts, Singapore public holidays, and month-end weekends (on a rotational basis)
