Portage Point is seeking a Senior Associate, Financial Due Diligence (FDD) to join its Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) India team. This Senior Associate will support buy-side and sell-side due diligence engagements for U.S. and global private equity firms, corporates and lenders. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, high attention to detail and the ability to operate in a fast-paced U.S. deal environment.
Responsibilities
Support execution of FDD engagements including Quality of Earnings (QofE), revenue / EBITDA analysis, working capital reviews and cash flow analysis
Review financial statements, management reports and transaction materials to identify key trends, risks and value drivers
Prepare client ready deliverables including data books, analytical schedules, QoE bridges and executive level summaries
Assist in synergy assessments, carveout analyses and integration support
Collaborate with U.S. engagement teams and participate in client discussions when required
Work on multiple engagements simultaneously while maintaining high quality and responsiveness
Provide guidance and mentorship to analysts and junior team members
Contribute to developing best practices, knowledge sharing and India team processes
Support business development efforts including research, pitch materials and thought leadership
Contribute to creating a high-performing and inclusive culture
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from a top undergraduate program required; CA, CPA, CFA, MBA (Finance) or equivalent professional qualification preferred
Four to six years of experience in Financial Due Diligence / Transaction Advisory / Deals
Willing to relocate to or be primarily present in Gurgaon
Experience working with private equity clients or on U.S. / global transactions is preferred
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into insights
Proficiency in financial modelling, Excel analytics and management data analysis
Exposure across sectors such as SaaS, healthcare, consumer, industrials or financial services
Ability to identify relevant issues and articulate clear observations and recommendations
Entrepreneurial attitude, comfort with ambiguity and enthusiasm to contribute to a fast-growing environment
Ability to work under tight timelines with a strong sense of ownership
Superior written and verbal communication skills, including executive-ready presentation and reporting skills
