Senior Automotive Technician

Working Location: Multiple Locations

Working Hour/Day: 7.30am - 5.15pm / Mon-Fri

Job Description:

Vehicle Maintenance & Servicing

  • Perform preventive maintenance, repair, overhaul, removal, replacement and installation of vehicle systems and components.
  • Carry out servicing of engine, transmission, steering, braking, suspension and fuel systems.
  • Replace engine oil, transmission fluid, hydraulic fluid, coolant, brake fluid, steering fluid and filters in accordance with maintenance requirements.
  • Perform lubrication, greasing, flushing and preservation treatment of vehicle systems and components.
  • Conduct inspection, troubleshooting and rectification of mechanical defects.

Preservation & De-Preservation Activities

  • Carry out preservation and de-preservation activities for vehicles and equipment.
  • Apply preservation compounds, corrosion prevention treatments and protective coatings on designated components.
  • Prepare vehicles and equipment for long-term storage.
  • Remove preservation materials and restore equipment to operational readiness.
  • Perform battery management, installation, removal and preservation activities.
  • Seal and unseal vehicle systems, air intakes, exhaust outlets and storage protection materials as required.

Mechanical & Electrical Work

  • Perform wiring replacement, wire tracing and basic electrical diagnostic work.
  • Support maintenance of hydraulic, winching and lifting systems where applicable.
  • Inspect and maintain vehicle electrical systems and connectors.
  • Operate workshop equipment and machinery, including drilling machines and power tools.

Operational Support

  • Handle heavy spare parts, tools and equipment safely.
  • Perform housekeeping activities including cleaning of work areas, equipment, vehicles and components.
  • Work at height and climb on/off vehicles and equipment safely when required.
  • Complete maintenance records, checklists and job documentation.
  • Comply with all workplace safety requirements, risk assessments and client procedures.
  • Support ad-hoc operational duties assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

  • NITEC, Higher NITEC, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Automotive Engineering,
    Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in automotive, heavy vehicle, military vehicle,
    construction equipment, fleet maintenance or industrial equipment maintenance.
  • Experience performing maintenance,

Salary Range: $3,000 - $4,000
