Senior Blockchain Engineer

You will research and prototype blockchain features such as Layer 2 solutions, cross-chain bridges, and DeFi protocols. You will design and implement secure, scalable blockchain solutions that integrate with existing wallet infrastructure. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and security teams to define technical requirements, represent technical feedback to external protocol foundations, mentor other engineers, and stay current with emerging blockchain technologies.

Responsibilities

• Research and prototype new blockchain features including Layer 2 solutions, cross-chain bridges, and DeFi protocols
• Design and implement secure scalable blockchain solutions that integrate with existing infrastructure
• Provide structured feedback to protocol foundations and represent company interests
• Advocate for wallet infrastructure features and improvements
• Establish partnerships with foundations, vendors, builders, and customers to implement solutions
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and security teams to define technical requirements
• Mentor and guide other engineers on blockchain technologies and implementations
• Stay current with emerging blockchain technologies, protocols, and industry developments

Requirements

• 6+ years of backend development experience in modern languages (Go, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Knowledge of consensus mechanisms, cryptographic primitives, and distributed systems
• Understanding of microservices architecture and API design
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and fast-paced environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Previous experience in the blockchain ecosystem
• Preferred: 4+ years of hands-on blockchain development experience
• Preferred: Experience building blockchain solutions for enterprise or institutional use cases
• Preferred: Understanding of security best practices for smart contracts and blockchain systems
• Preferred: Experience applying AI tools for programming
• Preferred: Experience with institutional DeFi, staking protocols, or custody solutions
• Preferred: Understanding of MPC and multi-signature wallets
• Preferred: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
