Role Overview:
We are looking for a senior Bookkeeper for our accounting department to look after invoice processing on both AR and AP, Bank journals and payments capturing across various banks in our group. Monthly payroll journals, balance sheet recons and reviewing accruals/provisions. You will need to maintain ledgers, oversee tax-related processes, maintain spreadsheets and database of valuable information.
Fixed Term Contract for 6 Months
Hybrid – To be based in South Africa
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm
Flexibility: The successful candidate must be flexible to work outside of standard South Africa hours to accommodate the global nature of the business and collaborate effectively with international teams across multiple time zones.
Responsibilities:
Exposure Accounts payable end to end processing
Exposure to Foreign Currency Transactions across various entities
Exposure to accounting processes, client servicing, etc.
Exposure Accounts receivable end to end processing
Bank recons
Payroll journals
Month end journal
Balance sheet recons
Income statement review and accruals/ provisions
Cost of revenue management
Learning how to organize, multitask and manage time.
Learn on the job regarding the best practices in accounting.
Assisting the teams on ad hoc tasks related to NetSuite
Qualifications:
Diploma in Financial Accounting is desirable.
Must have excellent IT literacy skills, particularly in Microsoft packages, Online banking platforms, NetSuite.
