Meaningful Work From Day One

The main responsibilities of this position are to manage all of sales related data in order to improve overall productivity and effectiveness of the entire sales team, sales performance, sales analytical skills, and RTC capabilities.

What You Can Expect

  • Business Processes & Analytics:

    • Leads the continuous evaluation and improvement of sales processes, tools and systems to maximize operational effectiveness and efficiency.

    • Synthesize complex data sets into actionable insights and strategic recommendations to identify growth drivers, track ROI on sales activities, and support data-driven decision-making for leadership

  • Reporting & Communication:

    • Collaborate closely within the Commercial Strategy & Operation Group and with Trade Marketing, Finance and other cross-functional partners to develop reports as well as KPI dashboards and communicate transparently and effectively with stakeholders regarding issues & opportunities, plans, performance, and learning.

    • Help sales leaders establish KPI goal settings with fact-based data and analytical insights.

  • CRM Champion:

    • Champion Salesforce CRM across the entire sales team.

    • Track user adoption of the newly implemented CRM system.

    • Contribute to capability improvement across the entire sales team

Master Data Management (MDM):

    • Lead master data harmonization and maintenance of various sales-related data sets (including our own depletion data, wholesalers’ sell-out data, bar suppliers’ sell-out data, retailers’ POS data, syndicated consumer off-take data, secondary data, etc).

    • Be responsible for MDM rules definition and enforcement (e.g. hierarchies, attributes, life cycle), data integrity, and data quality (including cleanup).

    • Act as primary owner of MDM applications ensuring they include the appropriate, mandatory features and fit into sales workflows.

    • Oversee users access to data and applications, training, and adoption.

  • Project Management:

    • Act as a project leader and drive sales-related cross-functional projects.

    • Collaborate with and inform stakeholders both in Japan and overseas

What You Bring to the Table

  • 3+ years of sales management experience in sales planning, key account management, or trade marketing in FMCG

  • Understanding of market & channel structure, trade margins, and trade terms (discounts & rebates) in the FMCG industry

  • Analytical and problem solving skills with a high level of Excel/Google Sheets capabilities for complex data management and analysis

  • Strong communication skills (influencing, listening, presenting, writing); able to explain sales and analytical results in a clear, concise, and visually appealing manner

  • Proven ability to identify problems/opportunities and plan, prioritize, organize and advance multiple tasks to completion by specific deadlines (Project management experience is a plus)

  • Personal honesty and integrity.

  • Ability to build strong relationships at all levels and manage conflict constructively

  • Collaborative team player with strong conflict management skills

  • Adaptable, flexible and resilient

  • Reading and writing English. Daily conversational level in speaking.

What Makes You Unique

  • FMCG industry experience with knowledge of trade layers and commercial processes

  • Experience of handling CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system/tools

  • Experience of building and improving/changing sales capability development, sales strategies & Collaborates with Trade Marketing, Finance, and cross-functional partners to ensure transparent reporting on performance and strategic plans.

  • English language proficiency
