Senior Category Management Specialist

As a Senior Category Management Specialist individual will be responsible for managing and overseeing categories for services consistent with the overarching strategy defined by the organization, ensuring effective sourcing, cost control, supplier management, and compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The Senior Category Management Specialists expertise in category management will contribute to the overall efficiency and success of the organization's offshore drilling operations.

DUTIES:
All activities are to be accomplished using company sanctioned tools and processes to ensure transparency, auditability, consistency, and repeatability of initiatives.

Your responsibilities

  • Manage and support the activities related to Category Management analysis, data evaluation and reporting

  • Work with Stakeholders to proactively identify opportunities

  • Develop templates that enables Category Managers to work with data related to vendor activities

  • Provide solutions to automation efforts within Category Management scope

  • Negotiate contracts as required on an ad hoc basis to support category managers

  • Monitor and provide updates to Category Management team regarding issues and areas of potential risk

  • Perform evaluation on vendor base structure and potential issues

  • Develop dashboards, alongside with IT to demonstrate data integrity and areas of opportunities

  • Update price lists for all contractual market baskets required by the Category Management team

  • Implement contractual requirements and templates based on the category being addressed

Our Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • Five (5) to Seven (7) years of Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing and/or Category Management

  • Strong English skillset (min. B2)

  • Highly organized with the ability to resolve complex commercial issues

  • Good negotiation skills

  • Robust team collaboration and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to identify, find and analyze data

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • Knowledge of ERP and procurement systems welcome
