Senior Chef Assistant / Chef Assistant

We're looking for driven, hands-on individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen and take pride in delivering consistent, quality food.

This role goes beyond daily kitchen work — you'll gain exposure to operations, R&D, costing, and supplier management, making it a great fit for those aiming to grow into senior or leadership roles.

What You'll Do

Kitchen Operations

• Support the Head Chef / Operations Manager in running smooth daily operations
• Prepare and cook menu items with focus on quality, consistency, and presentation
• Ensure timely food prep and service, especially during peak periods
• Execute opening and closing routines with discipline
• Maintain an organised and efficient kitchen workflow
• Supervise and guide junior staff during shifts

Product & Cost Management

• Support R&D through product trials, recipe improvements, and process refinement
• Monitor and record daily wastage to reduce cost and improve efficiency
• Assist with menu costing and ingredient tracking
• Support supplier sourcing, pricing comparison, and evaluation
• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory and replenishment

Standards & Training

• Uphold cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene standards at all times
• Ensure all processes follow SOPs and brand standards
• Support onboarding and training of new kitchen staff

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant kitchen experience (high-volume preferred)
• Comfortable in a dynamic, high-pressure environment
• Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety
• Leadership potential and initiative (for senior roles)
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
